We recently hit double-digits in our relationship (10 if you’re interested) and thought it was about time we brought some of our most favourite dining experiences to Nottingham.
About Sol Y Sombra - The Andalusian Tapas Kitchen
Sol Y Sombra is inspired by our numerous jaunts in Andalusia (in many cases, Seville).
We love everything about their bustling markets, neighbourhood tapas bars, and long lunches with no obvious finishing time.
We’re all about laid back, fuss-free food
Our food is made with love, plates arrive when they’re ready, and everybody gets stuck in.
Our cooking isn’t about recreating one particular region or recipe book. It’s about recreating the same warmth, generosity and love of bold flavours we’ve experienced in Andalusia, and serving it in our unapologetic “Nottinghamshire” way.

We think you can tell a lot about a person by whether they share their food or not.
If like Joey Tribbiani you don’t like to share food, then Sol Y Sombra, well, tapas in its entirety, is absolutely not for you.
We strongly encourage you buy a sandwich from somewhere instead!
